U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service

Formerly known as INS and BCIS, this federal government agency plays a large part in the international adoption process. If the USCIS doesn’t give its approval to the petition to adopt, an international adoption cannot go forward. Fortunately, their Web site has detailed information about the process and free forms to download.

hello, have you ever heard of an american raising a Uganda child that is my grandchild? or,are there health programs close to kampala? i have helped support 1 son and the 9 others in his family for about 12 years. i dont leagally have anything to say he is my son, but i fell in love with him and his family. the wifes b.c failed and they dont want more children. they have named there blood children after my family names being part of the long names that they have. by all other accounts, he IS MY SON. i dont know what to say to help them. i am the only mother this young man has had at least for 12 years anyway. he deserves some better treatmment. he should be able to smile at his wife for the coming event. it should be happy, not a worry. i dont know how to help except by gifting a plane or bus, train ticket to a place with a REAL docter of medicine works. she almost already died 2 times because of infection and the docs didnt sew her up there anything we can do to not kill her! #1
